Peace of mind while you are away

Hello,

I am Ali. I am a 35 year old male. My pronouns are he/him. I am a communications professional working for a global design studio/community of creatives called ATÖLYE (atolye.io).

I live in Hampstead with my wife and we share our home with three cats (more information on them below). My wife and I are strictly plant based and have been so for the past 6 years or so.

I heard about this service through a friend and it made a lot of sense to sign up as a cat sitter. My wife and I have experienced the stress of leaving our cats behind while traveling. Even when we were able to arrange someone to visit every 2-3 days, we know our cats would be happier if their litter boxes were cleaned at least once a day (it’s always a little trickier with multiple cats).

(Side note: We also have an an automated feeder with a camera and a large water fountain. The fountain’s capacity is large enough for 3 cats to drink for at least 5-6 days. We weren’t so lucky with the feeder, since the one we have only has a single bowl that the cats can eat out of, they tend to compete for the food—which is not usual behavior for any of them. The most timid of the three usually ends up eating very little.)

Without making this introduction too long, I would simply like to offer help if I can provide you the peace of mind you need while you are away or traveling.

If you decide to reach out to me, I would appreciate if you could provide information as to what to expect from the cat(s) that I would be taking care of. I can administer pills with a pill popper on my own if the cat is not particularly feisty. Out of our three, I can easily give pills to two on my own; the eldest would not just have it (but she is okay with eye drops for some reason).

PS: Here is more informtion about our three cats:

The eldest is 7 years old and called Bihter. She is a tabby. We found her abandoned in the apartment complex we lived in at the time. She is very sweet at home but hates the vet.

The other female is 6 years old and called Ece. She is a British Shorthair. She is the friendliest of the three and needs regular brushing. She is the only one that isn’t a rescue—she is the kitten of a friend’s cat and they wanted us to have it.

The youngest is a Russian Blue male and called Tarkan Ateş. He loves to sleep on people’s laps but is also very easily frightened. He sometimes yells for attention. My wife found her abandoned near her work.

I am happy to follow your guidance on how to feed your cat or cats. Ours eat at different speeds and when we give them wet food we prefer to put them in separate rooms.

I am happy to brush/comb. I have used most types of slickers. With our British Shorthair, we use a grooming rake and a comb regularly.
