About Me

Whiskers & Tails Pet Sitting, North London

Working in an office job with people, I miss my preferred company, animals. My childhood was spent on an Irish farm, surrounded by animals. Cats and dogs were (and still are) part of the furniture on the farm. While I can’t get back as often as I’d like to, I thought Cat in a Flat may be a great way to give me that animal connection. I look after friends’ cats (see pictures), but as I’m new to this site, I don’t have any reviews yet.

I’m a big believer in respecting an animal’s personal space and taking the time to build trust. When the trust is there, I treat each cat as an independent character. For example, I have a cat at home who loves cuddles and attention, and another who hates to be touched, so they obv get a very different treatment from me! It’s really all about what the owner and the cat want/need. This is an important chat to have prior to any sitting, so I can provide the best service and keep everyone safe, clean, well-fed and happy.

    Bert was fantastic! Would definitely recommend. She got my anxious cat to play while I was away and gave regular updates. I was really relaxed as I could tell I was leaving Gillie in good hands.

    Bert came to help take care of our Pack at a difficult time when we’d just lost our Freda suddenly. We were a little anxious about going so far away but Bert met with us and was so calm and reassuring that we were instantly at ease. We received regular photos from each visit and we came home to very relaxed cats and a clean and tidy house.

    5 stars aren't enugh! I was really nervous to leave my rescue cat Rufus for the first time and i couldn't have asked for things to go better. Roberta looked after him so well, they bonded and she even managed to keep me from stressing 😂 She looked after the flat well which i found spotless at my return.
