Greetings! My name is Shakira. I have been a cat sitter for many years now. I am also a holistic and reiki therapist with a HUGE love for animals. I have always had cats myself and in total I have over 10 years experience looking after cats and 6+ years experience cat sitting.

I have my own fur baby named Storm aka Stormz aka my boy aka handsome haha! He is 7 years old and very intelligent boy! He has been able to do tricks such as “sit, up and push” for the past 5 years.

As a reiki therapist I have given dogs and cats hands on healing sessions and my Stormz gets regular loving treatments such as massage and reiki, he even sleeps with his own Amethyst crystal, sometimes we go for short night time walks together or a quick drive to see his friend Prince at his house 😻 only the best treatment for my boy and any cats in my care. I admire felines…their independence, their witt and just how intune they all are! Each one has a personality and character of their own which is so alluring to me. They always have and always will be my favourite animals and it is an honour to be of service to them and share their company as a cat sitter!

I am a very hands on cat sitter who also provides a housekeeping service for if you require an overnight booking. I collect post and also tend to your plants whilst you’re away. I have become quite good at propagating plants, so if you have any plants which may be on their last legs, I will do my very best to save and revive them!

I am happy to cuddle your pets (with their permission of course), giving them love and affection whilst also respecting each individual animals personality and needs. I love getting on my hands and knees for play time and I am happy to reward treats to well behaved pets too, as they are such intelligent beings and deserve to be rewarded!

Service’s provided during visits:

• Animal sitting • Housekeeping & Overnight stay • Plant maintenance (indoor & outdoor) • Post collection • Love, attention & affection to your pet • Fresh food and clean water • Cleaning of litter & litter area • Cuddles & Playtime • Grooming/ brushing • Photos & videos of your pet • I am happy to administer oral medication if needs be. • Key exchange & drop off

On our first meet and greet I will have the pleasure of meeting you and your pet(s). This enables you to see we how your animal responds to me as your sitter. I will be shown where all food, litter, toys and cleaning equipment will be kept and given a break down all dietary and feeding guidelines and needs. At the end of the meet and greet we will do a key exchange / key lock details for access to your property during bookings ONLY, which will be returned as per your instructions. Please provide equipment to keep litter area tidy (eg; dustpan and brush, litter scoop, bin bags, mop etc)

I will always send photos and video updates after each visit for your peace of mind and so you can see how well your pets are getting on whilst you are away.

My Storm is my baby and like family to me and I would want a loving sitter to look after him in my absence, so please rest assured that I will ALWAYS go above and beyond to ensure you and your pet baby are as happy and as comfortable as can be when i am in service to you!

She was a happy cat when I returned & I could tell she had been looked after by a real animal lover.     Shakira was incredible with my boy while I was away. She provided daily videos, photos and updates, helped out with housekeeping, and overall was such a pleasure to interact with.     Shakira did a great job looking after our cats, sending us photos and videos every day. The cats had some medical requirements which Shakira took time to understand and worked hard to make sure the medicine was delivered.     Shakira was fantastic! We could not have asked for a better cat sitter. She came round before to meet the cats and whilst she was sitting them, she kept us informed with plenty of videos and pictures! She also spent a lot of time entertaining our cats! One of our cats is a stray kitten who is very nervous, but Shakira managed to make him feel comfortable which was such a delight. We look forward to having her sit again for us in the future and are very thankful to her!
