About Me
Cat sitter in Northwich
Hello :)
My name is Lauren, I am a University of Salford graduate where I studied counselling and psychotherapy. I now work within the mental health sector supporting adults with emotional, social and practical issues, which I thoroughly enjoy.
In my spare time I have 5 energetic, intelligent and affectionate bengal cats to keep me busy 🐱 our beautiful girl Irelys is a silver snow lynx who we have been very fortunate to be able to breed several times and we all enjoyed it that much that we kept two of the babies, Opie (brown rosetted) and Ares (seal lynx rosetted) 😻 both boys. We have also now welcomed two more to the pack, Oscar and Euna, both brown rosetted bengals.
A bit more about my history: I've lived with cats all of my life. My loyal childhood friend was my grey tabby Humbug. We also had a colour point Persian who was very soft and silly.
In my teens I worked as an assistant for a cat breeder (Bengals and Persians), taking care of the cats and ensuring they were all fed, watered and brushed and that their environment was clean. This is probably where my passion for breeding began! I was very lucky to be able to spend my days playing with the young kittens, whilst carrying out my cleaning duties. I fell in love with all of them! I also learnt a considerable amount of cat communication here, as some of the cats were not very trusting of humans, but after a few days I was able to gain little bits of their trust and soon I was able to give them a fuss. It was very rewarding.
I have decided to become a cat sitter after needing to find a sitter for our own cats. Thanks to Cat in a Flat we were able to go away knowing our kitties were in very capable and caring hands. Now I would like to offer that to other people, as I know how worrying it can be to leave our furry friends when we go away.
I am reliable, responsible and able to follow instructions. I understand the importance of routine and structure. I will be respectful towards your cats and home, and wish to maintain as much normality for your cats as is physically possible, as I believe cats are happiest in their own home.
Thank you for reading! If you got this far then well done!
