About Me

Dedicated and responsible TLC service for your cat(s)!

Hello! My name is Raquel, I am 31 years old and moved to London from Portugal in the beginning of 2014. I worked with animals in a veterinary setting 2017 until May 2023.

I always knew that I wanted to work with, and for, animals and was the typical child who would always try to bring the neighbourhood stray cats and dogs into the house - at one point we had 3 cats, 2 dogs and 2 rabbits!

At the moment I do not own any fur friends, but luckily my flatmate has a cat! She's a special, shy soul (some would say grumpy...) but we have bonded! She's the star of my profile picture :)

Providing a cat sitting service will not only help me financially but will also provide me with much-needed feline time, especially since I decided to change careers! It also makes me happy to know that I am able to help kitties feel a bit happier when their humans are away.

As a cat sitter, I do not limit myself to just feeding and cleaning the litter tray - I will make sure that your feline has as much attention and love as possible.

I also understand that some furry clients are not quite so keen on cuddles and laps, so I am happy to just hang around for a bit for the company - will probably use the time for some much-needed study time!

I am happy to administer medication as instructed, brush them and I can also attempt nail clipping if required.

If you also have plants, I am happy to look after them as instructed by you - I am not too experienced with plants so please do let me know what they like!

I understand that leaving your cat and propriety in the hands of a cat sitter can be a source of stress and worries so I am also more than happy to provide you with regular updates to ensure you have a restful and relaxing time away.

I do not charge extra for peak times and will do my best to keep it that way.

    Raquel was a wonderful sitter - the cats seemed totally comfortable from the first meet and greet and I was kept updated with messages and videos. I came back to a lovely tidy flat and happy cats!

    Raquel was amazing with our cat Juan. It was the first time he'd been left on his own for some days and she really made an effort to play with him and make him feel comfortable, even with him being very mischievous! She cleaned up a plant pot he decided to knock down 😼

    Raquel sent us a lot of messages and photos which helped us relax whilst away.

    Raquel did an amazing job looking after our cats while we were away for an extended period. We found Raquel to be very reliable, knowledgeable, trustworthy and great at following our instructions. She went above and beyond our expectations sending us many daily photos/videos of our cats which was lovely and put our mind at ease! On many occasions she spent more time with our cats which we appreciated greatly since we were away for a longer period. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Raquel. She’s a fantastic cat sitter and we will certainly use her again in the future.

    This was my first time using Cat in a Flat and I couldn't be happier to have found Raquel. From the instant we met I felt like really good about her and knew she would take excellent care of Oreo. Raquel made sure to check-in with me regularly and to send videos and updates on my little fur ball. It's really important to feel like your cat is being well taken care of and that's exactly how I felt with Raquel. Will definitely get her back as soon as we need a catsitter.
