Hello! My name is Melanie. I'm a passionate pet care professional originally from sunny Florida. I've lived in London for 11 years, the last 7 of which I've spent in Battersea, where I live with my husband.

I have many years' worth of experience with both pet- and home-sitting as well as with being a pet parent to dogs and cats. I've had the pleasure of watching and caring for cats, dogs, bunnies, chickens, goats and cows. I have watched animals who were "only children" as well as those who were part of a full-on pack (6 dogs in total, plus one very cool cat).

I've also fostered cats with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, giving me experience caring for kitties with a range of temperaments, from the uber shy to the totally outgoing, as well as those of different ages. I therefore feel confident that I'll be able to fulfill your pet-sitting needs, whatever they may be.

Important to note is that pet sitting isn't a hobby or side gig for me. It's my full-time passion and profession, which means you can rest assured that your fur baby is my number one priority during our time together. I will respect their individual personality, needs and wants, giving them as much love and playtime as they prefer.

PET CARE PACKAGES AND PRICING

From drop-ins to extended in-home sitting, my pet care services are tailored to your pet’s individual needs, preferences and personalities. The below packages include:

• Sitting for up to 2 pets

• Adhering to dietary needs and simple administration of medication (e.g. medicine taken with food)

• Exercise and enrichment activities (service details to be confirmed during our meet-and-greet depending on your pet’s needs and preferences)

• Daily updates with photos you’ll want to frame and fun videos of how your fur baby is getting on

• Ad hoc duties that you may need while you’re away, including watering plants, collecting mail, managing lights to be mindful of energy expenditure, maintaining the cleanliness of the space, etc.

• 100% of my time and attention devoted to the care of your animal(s) and home (with the exception of 24-hour period bookings, in which case I may need to leave for short periods of time to top up on essentials, attend doctor’s appointments or similar, i.e. typically no more than 3 hours per day and at a time)

I may also be able to accommodate additional requests beyond those already listed; please send me what else is needed in writing before we confirm the booking.

£26 - 30-min drop-in or walk

£30 - one-hour drop-in or walk

£45 - 2 x 30-min drop-ins or walks per day

£52 - a half day of sitting (up to 4.5 hours)

£75 - a full day of sitting (up to 9 hours)

£45 - overnight sitting (a 12-hour period that begins in the evening and ends in the morning)

£112 - a 24-hour block

Extras:

£7 - bookings beyond 1.5 miles from Battersea High Street and York Road

£9 - start time before 9am

£9 - end time after 9pm

£13 plus grocery costs - stocking your fridge and pantry with basics to ease your return

£13 - per visit per day for each additional pet (applicable to the third pet and beyond)

£13 - per visit per day per puppy

50% extra per visit per day for holiday dates
