About Me
The Cat Man in Hurst
Hello, my name is Duncan. I have had cats around me all my life and find them wonderful little creatures. We have a cat too, who is nearly 3 years old and called Pizza!
First, there was Poppy, a loving and gentle cat who had seven kittens. We kept one and named him Flump; he became a big one, very cuddly and soppy. These were my childhood cats. Sadly they have now passed.
As an adult, my cat was called Monk (sometimes called Teddy Bear Face!). He was very bright, mischievous and lots of fun, and always retained his kitten spirit. He enjoyed to climb on my shoulder and sit like a parrot. This always made me smile and was thoroughly amusing.
I'm a freelance artist and graphic designer (also pet portraits) and have recently moved to Hurstpierpoint with my wife and 10-year-old daughter. I have a character on my art website that I call Vurt Cat (who I kind of think of as myself), you can have a look if you would like to: duncanallan.net
I live in Hurstpierpoint, I am able to travel within a 1 mile radius of where I live, only this distance as I will be travelling by bicycle.

Making friends I will try to make friends with your cat (at their pace.) I know that cats have to decide first if they want to. Most cats will want to, some cats won't. Usually, I find that most cats can sense that I'm a cat person.

Dependable and reliable If I make arrangements to look after your cat/cats, I will be there guaranteed. Whatever the weather. I am sensitive to a cat's needs, and I wouldn't want to miss a meal, so why should they!

Visiting times I can make up to 2 visits a day if necessary and stay for a period of time, I can stay for a short while so your cat has a bit of company and fuss them a bit if that's something that makes them happy.

Eating I will give them food and water (whichever kind you leave for me) and make sure bowls are clean

Litter tray I will empty this as and when it looks as though it needs doing, and at least once at the end of the week before your return (if it was a week). Whatever your prefence is really.

Anything else cat-related, I'm all ears. I will do what I can to help.
I love cats and I will look after them while you are away, so don't worry about leaving them. I look forward to meeting them (and you!)
