I have always loved cats! I grew up with furry Augustus, a shorthaired hunter, and later Thomas Tew and Lady Mary Killegrew (Tom and Killy), mainecoon brother and sister. I helped look after Augustus when he was ill at the end although I was young. Then I helped train Tom and Killy as they grew up, and cared for them, brushing their fur and taking burrs and seeds or tangles out, and sometimes other things when they had obviously had some bathroom issues (0.0), feeding them (Augustus ate wet food but Tom and Killy only ate dry food and some yummy treats), keeping an eye on their health and of course many many cuddles and much playing! Killy in particular was always on my bed and I was the only one who could get her to come out if she was hiding inside or in the garden. I loved to play with them with little balls which they could dribble like they were playing football! They also loved anything with feathers, long plant or grass leaves, and those cable ties that come with packages, if I hid them under the edges of the rug. These cats were so gentle and never had their claws out or scratched unless it was an accident while playing, and you could see they were sorry to have done it!

I always went to the vet with them and looked after them when they were ill, (now and then there was something like an infected cat bite, a tick, tooth problems as they got older, Tom had knee issues) and especially when Tom was in his final illness with cancer I helped give him his medication and get him used to being at home again after surgery. I have also looked after a cat who needed regular medication, as a client.

The cats I grew up with were all outside cats as we lived in a development with a large communal garden including a vacant lot overgrown with ivy that was a perfect cat toilet (however I have experience with litter trays too from times when they couldn't go out, and from my previous clients). Many of the houses there had cats so it was quite a little cat village. It was all very set back from the roads, and the roads that were nearby were not busy.

I will do anything your cat needs! Feeding, changing litter, play time, brushing fur. I can also send regular updates and photos, and I promise to make sure your cat is happy and relaxed. I also love to make them happy by giving them treats but don't worry, I won't spoil them too much! I will follow all your instructions. I can also collect your post and water your plants or if staying overnight will make sure your house is safe and tidy.
