About Me
SassCatCo
Hi, I'm Rafael, or Raf for short, aged 27, I'm based in Accrington now, a new area for me.
Cat experience
Have owned cats for a solid 20 years, of various ages and ailments. These days I have my own cat called Socks, who is a very chatty and fickle girl!
I've owned and looked after a large variety of cats, kitten to senior, indoor and outdoor, disabled physically and/or mentally, even ones that needed lead walking.
Availability
For visits on weekdays, my best times are between 10am-2:30pm, and 6pm-8pm. Best times for weekends are anywhere between 12pm- 8:30pm.
Of course, this doesn't mean I am limited to these times, I'm happy to try and work round your preferences.
Extras
I'm now doing an animal first aid course to ensure your fur children are in the safest hands.
Cats are my forte, but that doesn't mean I'm exclusive to them. Here's a list to give you an idea what I'm comfortable with: Dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, mice, tarantulas, snails, geckos, tortoise, snakes, bearded dragons, any other kind of reptile. I do not have experience with birds (with exception to ducks and chickens), but are willing to still tend to them with a very clear set of instructions.
I can keep SMALL/very young animals in my house, e.g Rats, Hamsters, Kittens, Tarantulas. No puppies or birds for this offer, thank you.
Can provide references, hope to hear from you soon.
For my visits I'll always aim to stay between half an hour to an hour, unless asked otherwise.
I'll tend to bring a piece of string/ribbon/shoelace to play with those more energetic cats, otherwise having a sit down and a fuss with those more chilled cats.
Note that if I come to your house for an inital visit, I won't immediately stroke the cat, even if very friendly. This is so the cats have time to get used to my scent and presence, and have the opportunity to come to me rather than then other way round. If your cat is more shy or aggressive, I may ask if I can leave one of my shirts or jumpers at your house before the catsitting starts, so they get used to my scent.
Please leave out a detailed set of instructions out if your cat requires any extra care e.g Being let out for X amount of time, specific amount of food at meal times, any medication they may need.
