About Me

Dedicated cat sitter in Dorking area

Hello! I’m Jo and along with my husband I have two rescue cats of my own. We moved to Dorking a couple of years ago and I’m keen to offer my services with cat sitting as I know how hard it can be to find a reliable, trustworthy cat sitter. I work for a well-known animal welfare charity specifically in feline welfare and so I’m very experienced with cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical status. I have worked with cats for over ten years in various capacities and understand their needs very well.

I am confident with cats of all temperaments and ages. I give cats the space and time to get to know me and I won’t rush interactions. I’m very comfortable giving medication in any form, and will happily groom your cat if needed. Everything I do is with a feline-friendly mindset, eg, on the cat’s terms, allow them choice and control with interactions and allowing them to hide if they choose. I am also happy to look after any pet fish, as a keen fish owner myself. I can bring in post, turn lights on and off, water plants, and anything else along those lines. I would also be very happy to send daily updates and photos as I know how important it is to feel your cats are in good hands while you’re away.

    Jo was fantastic with my slightly fussy little cat Faji. It was the longest we’d ever left her alone for but felt really reassured with Jo’s updates, especially all the purring in the videos! Faji was a bit unwell while we were away but Jo medicated her and cleaned up (sorry Jo) and we came home to a happy and healthy cat, and even a bonus toy!

    We had a really great experience with Jo while my mother was away. From the beginning she was very responsive and took the time to understand the cat's needs and routines. We had regular updates and my mother was able to fully relax knowing they were being cared for. We will definitely be reaching out again for future trips. Thank you!

    Tria and Tarzan has had cat sitters in different countries and towns/cities. Now living in Dorking, Jo is definitely one of the best cat sitters we have had. Cats are happy and Jo is very good with communication.

    Jo popped around for the meet and greet of Tria and Tarzan. She was very friendly and my cats took to her, and it was obvious she knew how to greet a new pet. When I got home I was greeted by 2 very excited and happy cats. Communication was good.
