Karly's Purrfect Care

Hi, my name's Karly. I'm Italian and I've been living in the UK for 13 years. I work at events as waiting stuff supervisor and I've just started a new project which allows me to work from home and have much more free time.

During my whole life I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs. I couldn't imagine my life without them. Unfortunately though, since I'd moved to the UK, I haven't found a sharing flat where pets were allowed. Only when I lived in Croydon I had a shared garden and my neighbour's cat used to go inside my flat; we spent many afternoons playing and then he would fall asleep on my bed. It was so cute!

I simply adore cats. They're funny, playful, joyful, cuddly and clean. And the affection they give is absolutely fantastic. When you see your cat getting on your laps looking for cuddles it's an indescribable feeling.

My parents (in Italy) have a cat, Oscar, who's the one I miss the most (lol). We have a wonderful connection; every time I'm there for a few days we play a lot and he usually spends the nights in my bedroom with me. The saddest part is when I have to leave, I miss him so much! Apparently so does he, as according to my mum, for the following couple of days he still sleeps in my room, even though I'm not there! It breaks my heart. This is an excuse for me to visit my parents more often!

I love playing with them. Play sessions are extremely important to built a good self esteem and confidence in the cat. Hopefully the family already has toys at home, otherwise I can provide some, depending on what the cat likes to play with. Every cat is different, although they have common features.

The other things I adore is cuddling them. My serotonin rises when I stroke them and I see they like it; especially when they purr, but not all cats purr.

I also like to feed and treat them if that's what the owner wants.

I like to have all the information ready regarding the cat's habits, likes and dislikes and emergency contacts.
