Hi, my name is Yusra, I am 28 years old!

My introduction to cats was in 2015 when I rescued my feline baby (Rani) from an abusive home, Rani was the runt of the litter and because of her unfortunate start to life, the first year of her life was hard due to contracting multiple infections which led us to her current diagnosis of Feline Asthma and HCM. Thankfully her conditions are managed by medication (because of this I am very well versed in administering medication of all kinds).

During the first lockdown in early 2020, on my daily walks I discovered a massive colony of stray cats in my area, I got to work right away! Every night I would scowl the area and feed as many cats I possibly could but after a while it dawned on me that feeding them alone was not enough, many of them needed immediate vet care and to be spayed and neutered with the upmost urgency! So I would spend my nights trapping cats, taking them to Goddard Veterinary Hospital, getting them neutered/spayed, vaccinated, tested for FELV/FIV, de-wormed and flea’d whilst searching for foster families on my own to care for them. It was no easy feat, some of the cats I saved were taken to Battersea and are now adopted into loving homes, some are living with loving foster families and most have found their forever home, I work very closely with an organisation called London Inner City Kitties who have helped me tremendously in aiding the stray cats and finding them homes. i have so proudly helped over 80+ cat with the help of London Inner City Kitties! I do this purely because of the love I have for cats, it brings me so much joy knowing I’ve done my part to help where I can❤️
