I'm James - birder, wildlife and pet lover.

I am currently looking for overnights only in birding areas. East Yorks, Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent particularly. Will sit for free if close to nature reserves.

I've looked after all types of pets in locations all over England, but also Los Angeles, Groningen in the Netherlands, France, Austria, Italy, and Spain, which were mostly overnight stays, some lasting several months, others just a few nights.

For now I can do day visits in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas, overnight stays can be literally anywhere in the world depending on logistics!

For day visits, my schedule is flexible, allowing me to spend quality time with your pet/s during the day. I find joy in the company of new cat friends, and it's always a pleasure for me. We've been buddies since I was born.

I possess a DBS obtained in December 2022, providing reassurance to pet owners about my background.

Having primarily looked after on cats, I've also cared for dogs, fish, rabbits, horses, chickens, and a parrot. I am curious about animals and so am open to tending to a variety of new animals, including rodents, reptiles, amphibians, and more.

My cat-sitting services encompass feeding, administering oral medication, attending to cat litter, spending quality time engaging in play, cuddles, and conversation with your beloved pets. Plant and garden watering of course where necessary.

For pets that require space or are more reserved, I am respectful of their boundaries, allowing them to observe from a distance until they feel comfortable. I adopt a soft, whispered voice when interacting with timid cats, a practice that has proven successful in building trust.

Typically, apart from on this site, my cat sitting has involved staying over night for a long weekend, week/s or a month+ so day visits are not a problem if near me.

I am happy to feed, give oral medication, sort out cat litter, play/cuddle/talk with your cat/s. It's no chore as I can't get enough cat time as is. Walking pups and plant watering as well.

I also send photos and video updates of your pets if booked for longer stays.

For those cats that need space, that's no problem, I will leave them to watch me dish out dinner and sort litter from a distance, until they are comfortable enough to approach me. I use a whispered voice for interaction with timid cats which has served me well so far.

Cat sitting outside my area is possible but a different rate would apply.
