About Me
Experienced cat caretaker excited to look after your wee cats in Glasgow West x
Hi aye I'm Imy!
A little about me: I’m a Highlander living in Glasgow, I’m also a musician and music therapist: I play the Clàrsach (celtic harp) and sing. I also love reading and writing poetry, collecting vinyl and gardening on my little balcony!
I have loved cats my whole life, my family have always had cats and I have grown up having cats as a big part of my family and my home. Our most recent cat was called Thorfinn (that’s him in my profile picture!) and I loved him very much. It was very hard to move back to Glasgow after the pandemic and to not have him (literally) by my side every day. My favourite thing about cats is getting to know them, their unique personalities and how they like to interact with you. Because I grew up with a few different cats I got to meet and appreciate cuddly cats as well as cats that like pets on their own terms, really energetic cats who need lots of play and attention and cats who just want to curl up and sleep in the strangest places!
I also have experience looking after my friend's pets in Glasgow and have enjoyed being their caretaker while their families are away.
I would be happy to drop in to look after your lovely cat, once or twice a day to feed them, give them treats, administer medication, change their litter tray, play with them and keep them company for a little while - whether that would be by giving them cuddles or just being with them if they prefer a little more space. I’m also happy to stay over with them, especially if you’re a little further away. (Also I am more than happy to send you pictures of them while you’re away to let you know they’re doing okay!)
I’d also be more than happy to look after any other animals, water plants, or anything else you need done while you’re away.
I’m based in Partick and I’d happily cover anywhere in Glasgow West, but if you’re a little further out please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I may be able to come a little further.
