I Care for Cats

Hi, thanks for reading my profile :) Aren't cats great, I've always had cats in my life. For me, home just doesn't feel like home without a few cats around. I currently have 3 cats and a part time cat who likes to chill at ours for most of the day. Growing up we had 10 cats at one point - perhaps this is why I love them so much!? So I have 3 cats, Betty and Burt and Bella (keeping with the 'B' theme!). Betty and Burt are mother and son. I adopted them September 2021 from a local cat charity (ALFS.) Betty was very cautious when she moved in and did what cats do and hid as far under the bed as she possibly could until she felt safe enough to come out. She quickly realised we just wanted to love her and ventured out to start the very important bonding process. I'm pleased to say she is very much enjoying life now and has become a special part of our family along with her son, Burt. Betty and Burt are now 6 and 4 years old and are living their absolute best life! We have more recently recruited yet another fluffy being called, Bella. I adopted her in June 2025 at 10 weeks old. She has kept Betty and Burt on their toes and has settled in very nicely. I know how hard it is to leave your beloved cats in someone else's care when you go away as I have had to do this myself so I understand the need to know they are in safe hands with someone who has a genuine love for felines <3. Please be assured I will love your cat like they are my own when they are in my care and do everything I can to make them feel safe and loved - It's imperative you relax while you are away and feel confident that your cat is being given the 5 star treatment at home. I wouldn't expect any less leaving my cats in the care of someone else. I am happy to administer medication and any specific care duties for the more senior citizens.

A little about myself. I live in Sawbridgeworth with my husband, 10 year old son and of course our three beautiful cats. My son and I love raising money for charity and litter picking in our local community. Caring for cats is by far the best job I have ever had as it doesn't feel like a job. I'm living the dream!

So, apart from feeding I will of course sit and play with your cat(s) and give them lots of fuss and attention, but I will be guided by you with regards to what your cat(s) likes and dislikes are. I understand that some cats are not as affectionate or may be shy and others will want to play and curl up on your lap. Whatever the personality of your cat I will work with them and you to ensure they have the best possible time in my care.

I am happy to administer medication and any care that may be required for senior cats.

I will send you pictures/videos of your beloved furry friend(s) to reassure you while you are away♥

Clean the cat bowls after eating and refresh their water bowl with clean water at each visit.

Clean up any cat messes.

I will clear out the litter tray and carry out any other routines you have for your cat.

If you need me to I can also pop the bins out so you don't miss collection day. Water plants, draw curtains, set house alarms etc.
