Loving and understanding cat sitter

I have loved cats all my life and have worked with a variety of different cats over the past 10 years. I worked at Cats Protection's national centre rehoming over 1,000 cats to loving homes each year. As well as heading the outdoor homing for barn and farm cats, including cats with behavioural issues and abused cats. I have qualifications in cat behaviour and medical knowledge and expertise and have completed a lot of research on domestic cat diets. I was a veterinary assistant, where i administered medications, provided anaesthetic services during operations and aftercare aswell as providing weight loss help. I am now a carnivore keeper at Howletts Wild Animal Park, working with a large variety of 10 different cat species from Leopards and Tigers to Pallas' cats and Margay. Working on behaviour, diet and contributing to the release of these cats, most recently two lions.

Throughout this time i have owned cats, my first cat, i got as a kitten, she was born in a barn and was very shy around people. I then adopted two outdoor cats that had behavioural distrust in people and required to have freedom living solely outside. One had been abused for 5 years and the other had gained distrust in humans from living on the street. They both gained trust in me and enjoyed some love on their terms. The cat i have now, i handreared from 5 days old when he was handed into Cats Protection severely malnourished. Hes now almost 5 years old and a healthy, loving boy.

I can offer a long visit in the afternoon/evening (perfect if you are going to be out all day or staying away for the evening) and potentially a short morning visit too. I can give cuddles, feed, play and administer medications. I am also happy with any and all behaviour types, whether your cat is friendly, nervous around strangers or maybe sometimes defensive to new people. None of these are issues and i am happy to spend time with them to help them feel safe and happy. I can also offer diet and weight loss ideas/help as well as ways for your cat to release frustrations.
