SK8 Cat Sitting - Experienced, Calm and Friendly Cat Sitter, based in Heald Green, Cheadle (DBS & Insured)

Hi, I'm Sarah and I am a self-confessed crazy cat lady with six indoor cats of my own (ranging from 1 year to 17 years old) I am about to embark on a career change, which means that I will be studying from home. This is why I feel that it is a good time to start cat sitting, as it will work around my studies.

I have always had cats in my life and have a lot of experience working with them too. I have self-studied feline behaviour and have done basic clicker training with my cats. Having had cats for so long, I have also built my skills for pilling the un-pillable, claw trimming, grooming and coaxing reluctant cats to eat.

All of my cats are rescue cats, some of which are very nervous. I am calm and patient which helps even the most nervous of cats to feel safe around me. I also know when to leave them alone too, which I think is very important so as not to stress them out.

I am very experienced medicating cats with both pills and liquids (one of my crew requires both twice per day) and I also carry a few pill pockets for challenging times. I am also experienced with feeding raw diets (as two of mine enjoy theirs, fed to them on Lickimats)

I am looking to help enable cat lovers to be able to go away on holiday knowing that their kitties are in safe hands. Having kitties myself, I understand how important it is to know that your fur kids are happy so I love sending pictures, videos and updates while owners are away. (it is something I appreciate when I am away too, which is why I love doing it)

I am honest, tidy, trustworthy and reliable. I borrow dogs on borrow my doggy, have looked after friends cats (as well as caring for cats in Airbnb homes) as well as helping out at a cat rescue.

I really look forward to getting to know you and your feline friends and helping you to have peace of mind while away or out at work.

I have a current DBS certificate.

As your cat sitter I will:

🤝 Arrange a free meet & greet to get to know you and your cat/s

📝 Create a comprehensive list of care tasks with you so that everything is covered

💩 Scoop and clean litter trays (and monitor contents as needed)

🥣 Feed and change drinking water daily

🧽 Clean feeding areas, bowls and other areas daily

⚾️ Play with, entertain and provide enrichment for your cat/s

📷 Send daily photo and video updates

As a cat owner, I know that it is important for my cats to be happy with the people looking after them. Because of this, I am happy to meet with you and your cat prior to a sit so we can get to know each other and check that we are a good fit.

This gives us the opportunity to work together on a schedule and plan to make sure that everything is covered for your time away - this helps you travel with ease and for me to have a plan of action for my time together with your feline friends.

My aim is to make your time away, and your cat’s time at home, as comfortable as possible. From the moment we meet to the moment you return.
