About Me
Experienced cat-sitter who can care for all kinds of cats and small animals
Hello lovely cat owners,
I’m Sandra, a registered Dietitian, who loves to look after cats in her spare time. I grew up with many animals, including rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fishes, budgies, and Persian or normal house cats. The only animal we never had was a dog, so I would say I’m more of a cat person as I like that they have an independent personality.
I moved nine years ago from Germany to London with my husband and our cat Kira, who sadly passed away in February 2023, nearly 17 years old. We have had her since she was an 8-week-old kitten and Kira had many health issues at the end, including chronic kidney disease and urine incontinence. I came up with lots of tricks and treats to feed her and to give her the medication. She also needed cat nappies, what was not an easy task to put on an unwilling cat. Since May 2024 we have two new family additions, our cute and very active half Bengal kittens, Tally and Skye.
During my cat care, I have had clients of all sorts and needs. From very young kittens that usually want more playtime to elderly cats who need a little bit of extra care (due to taking medication or allergies). So, my priority is always the needs of my furry clients! Of course, I will give them as much fuss as they want, but I will give them more space if they are shy/anxious or just not in the mood.
During my visit, I will perform all the regular tasks, including giving food/water on clean bowls, scooping out the litter tray, letting them in/out (only outdoors, of course!) and spending time with them. I am also used to giving medication or worm/flea treatment and vitamins to cats, but no injections. I don’t mind doing other things as well, and I have picked up the mail/parcel from neighbours, watered plants, closed curtains/blinds, put the bins out and even sorted out leakages. I also pick up little ‘presents’ and put them in the bin. I will send you daily updates with pictures so that you can relax while you are away. Just let me know if you need anything else.
Before I studied dietetics, I worked for 2 years for the royal household in Windsor, and consider myself very reliable and trustworthy. I have also an enhanced DBS certificate for adults and children, updated in 2023. I live near Ealing Common and cover Ealing, Acton, and Chiswick areas.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Best wishes, Sandra
