Hello, I am a retired English language teacher and copywriter who has lived in Ipswich since 2018. I have a lifelong adoration and fascination with cats, with a really good ability to build trust and friendship with even the most shy and wary of felines.

I have many years' experience of pet- and housesitting when I was younger, mostly around the Cambridge area. I am very responsible, can medicate cats, take them to the vet, play and keep them company.

My own beloved cat ( a nervous rescue) died in February (2025), so I am missing that cat contact and looking to lavish some cat-love on any cats missing their owners while they are away!

I am good at building a friendship with a new cat; letting them set the pace and style of interaction.

I love playing games with cats, can offer a lap, or reading aloud to get them used to me.

I can administer oral meds, as I had to do this with my cat when she was terminally ill. I have also made judgements about taking a cat to the vet while owners away, and dealing with subsequent care.

I am happy to provide daily reports and pictures/videos, to show how well your puss is doing in your absence.

I can do the visits at the time of day that suits your cat's routines for feeding, coming in and out through a catflap that needs locking at night, etc

I can also do little house chores that maintain safety at your empty house - picking up post, opening and closing curtains, putting lights on and off, watering houseplants.
