About Me
Caring, communicative and collaborative cat sitting practice ✨
Hello! I’m Noella, an NYC import to London working as a data scientist. Since age 12 I’ve been responsible for (aka at the service of) our family cat Rocket – a ginger goofball now happily retired at 16 years old and still living with my parents. After moving out I’ve been very strict about keeping up with him from a distance - so I am well-aware of how important and reassuring it is to receive regular cat updates. Luckily, living in NW London (if you know, you know) I am lucky to have made new feline friends in on my walking/running route. Last year, I brought home a super wonderful, silly boy called Nandor, rescued at just eight weeks! So have also gained recent experience in kitten care. I'm a cat lover through and through, and believe in building a bond based on respect and understanding.
My cat-sitting service is all about giving your cat the best care possible, while giving you peace of mind. With over 16 years of cat ownership and caretaking experience, plus previous work in nurseries and primary schools, I’ve had years of practice in the art of patience, boundary-setting, and care.
I have worked with friends and family as a cat sitter, both at-home visits and also hosting cats in my home, so am very familiar with introducing myself to cats, respecting their space, and most importantly, spotting signs of anxiety/distress and doing my best to alleviate it. To give a bit more detail, I have experience in the following areas: - vet visits: ensuring cat feels safe and supported during travel, that there’s a familiar/comfort item available in the crate, and that a through record of advice is kept after the visit - hygiene: that water is replaced daily if in a bowl (or more often if needed), that spills in food area are cleaned daily, litter box is emptied at the owner’s preferred intervals or at cat’s indication - outdoor cats: flea treatments, ensuring cat is in for the night, breaking up fights with other cats if needed and assessing for injuries
I hope that this clarifies a bit about how I could help while you are away, but of course please message me with any questions!
NB: I also have experience with grooming (including baths and clipping nails) and deworming, but believe that these are best done by someone the cat is familiar with and trusts :)
