Mature, experienced cat owner and sitter with excellent references

Hi! My name is Ali, and I'm a single, non-smoking, experienced, mature and responsible sitter.

I work from home, so am usually around during the day and working week. At weekends I like to visit my family and spend time exploring and photographing outdoors. I'm also an avid reader (I read 167 books in 2024, not doing so well with this year's target..)

I have many years experience of cat and small animal ownership, as well as running a family home, and now spend my time travelling - often overseas. This year I will be visiting, amongst other places, Iceland, Greenland and part of the Silk Road.

I have excellent references available, and have built up a very good reputation both as a pet sitter and a user of Airbnb; which I hope will reassure you that I am trustworthy, reliable and will take excellent care of your home and pets.

I offer overnight cat sitting for all ages and types of cat. I have experience of giving insulin injections, administering medication, and grooming long haired cats; and particularly enjoy caring for older cats.

I work from home so can be available for long periods of time for cats that like having people around.

As a very experienced cat owner, I am used to the vagaries of both indoor and outdoor cats - lots of play, dealing with the catching of rodents and birds, as well as general cat chit chat with those felines who are a little more on the noisy side (I've owned two of those myself!). Additionally, I have looked after birds, rabbits, fish, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, chickens and sheep over the years.

I will also water indoor and outdoor plants (but do require written care instructions), handle deliveries, keep the house sparkling clean, and ensure that everything is ready for you upon your return.

Please note that due to allergies I cannot use feather/down bedding or pillows. I also prefer not to sleep in the same room as pets.
