I adopted a cat five years ago in Hong Kong, and it was quite the experience! We ended up with a ginger cat who had FIV, and we didn’t even know until after we brought him home. Despite his health issues, he was with us until the end, and he added so much joy to our lives. He had to go through several surgeries and needed a lot of medication... and trust me, getting him to take his meds was a real struggle! Plus, it was hard to prepare his food in peace since he was a total foodie.

Now that I’m in the UK, I’ve been looking after my flatmate’s Bengal cat. Unfortunately, my flatmate suddenly developed a bad cat allergy due to a change in her immune system, so she can’t take care of him anymore without it being a danger to her. So, I’ve taken over! I’ve been looking after him for almost three years now. He’s super energetic and definitely has a mix of both black and ginger personalities going on!

I can help with administering medication and taking care of all the basics, such as ensuring they have fresh water, food, and a clean litter box. When it comes to cuddling, I’m a pro! I can quickly find their favourite spot and make sure they get all the cuddles they want until they're super happy.
