Experienced cat sitter in Leeds and surrounding areas

Hiya! I'm Sal, I'm a full time barista living in Burley, in the past I have worked a variety of different jobs. I'm orginally from near Birmingham, but I also lived in Liverpool for 5 years, so I'm accustomed to travelling around and getting comfortable in new places. My family has always had cats, so I've been looking after them for as long as I can remember. My first cat was territorial, and after my brother bought a new cat home he ended up getting aggressive, this led me to research cat behaviour (and watch a LOT of cat whisperer) in order to keep both cats safe. When I moved out of my family home I had a friend who had a similar problem with an aggressive cat, so I took him in and worked really hard to give him a safe environement and reduce the aggressive behaviour until he was a calm and happy cat again. If I left him for any period of time his aggressive behaviour would flare up without the right care. This means I'm accustomed to behavioural training, nervous and aggressive animals, administering medication, and complicated situations where animals have specific needs and requirements. I'm the resident pet sitter amongst my family and friends, I've looked after dogs, rats, fish, guinea pigs and chickens - and I'm always up to learn something new. I also work with my friend Frankie, so if I’m not available I can arrange them to visit.

Within Leeds and the surrounding areas I can offer a drop in service - either once or twice a day, as well as overnight. For those who's pets benefit from company I can stay for as long as you'd like - some people would prefer me to spend a few hours than to drop in twice. I understand that pet sitting is more than just making sure pets are fed and clean, leaving your pet for any period of time can be stressful for them - and you! I will send you updates and pictures every time I visit, depending on the pet I can offer cuddles and a good amount of play time, I will do whatever it takes to make them comfortable and less alone while you're away. Also very happy to bring in post and water plants if it helps.

For an overnight or house sitting service outside of Leeds and the surrounding ares I charge £30-50 if it requires me to take time off my usual job.
