Cat Sitting Durham
Hi, I'm Sarah, a research assistant at Durham University. I live in Durham year-round not just during term time so I'll be available to cat sit any time of the year (as long as I'm not away on holiday myself!).
I've been a cat-owner and cat-lover since birth, and I currently have a 8 year old naughty Tortie called Bean who is a housecat.
Despite having my own cat(s) I've always befriended any cat I meet whether by chance on the street or through friends and petsitting for neighbours. It would be my pleasure to take care of your kitty for you while you're away :)
I can cover roughly a 5 mile radius from the little Sainsbury's in Gilesgate, however I do have a car so if you live further than that but would like me to cat sit for you please let me know how far away you live and we can discuss it to see if the distance is manageable. I am happy to feed, refresh water, scoop (and clean if your trip is long enough to require it) litter trays, provide treats if you're happy for me to do so, and most importantly play with and give some love and attention to your cat while you're away. Visits will last approximately 20-40 minutes depending on how much needs doing. I don't have experience administering medication so I don't currently offer that service. My own cat is a housecat so I am used to being careful about not letting cats out when entering a property. I'll also happily send photos and videos of your cat during my visits so you can see how they're getting on. I'm also happy to do other basic jobs like watering plants, opening/closing curtains, and setting aside the post if you'd like. If there's anything that you'd like me to do that I haven't listed, please let me know in your message and we can definitely discuss it and see if it's something I can do :)
