Reliable and Experienced Cat Lover in High Wycombe

Hello, I'm Rachael. I am the head pastry chef at the Pantry in Hazlemere and I live in Downley, High Wycombe with my husband of six years. I work regular 9-5 hours and don't have any children (yet!) so I still have lots of time for morning and evening cuddles with your pets whilst you are away. 


I grew up with a variety of cats and small animals in the house including fish, hamsters, rabbits and rats and am comfortable and competent with their care. I have also looked after a large variety of different cats including kittens, elderly cats, indoor cats and nervous cats.

I live 5 minutes away from my dad and his cats, two year old Siberian forest cats Poppy and Frida, who are the best thing in the world! As they are indoor cats we make sure they are stimulated with lots of play and attention as well as clicker training sessions and walks with a harness and leash. I also help with their feeding, grooming and litter tray cleaning. When my dad goes away for work I also look after the house, general tidying up after the kitties, take the bins out and keep the plants alive. 


Poppy and Frida have very specific care needs, from untangling their long coats, to exact quantities of different food mixes, to supervised garden outings and I know the stress of trying to find someone who will be able to handle all the intricacies when we go away. I would love to put your mind at ease to be able to enjoy your holiday knowing that your pets are being taken care of just as you would, no matter how complex their needs.

SERVICES: I am available for one off visits when you might just be away overnight as well as for longer stints.

The main part of my duties would be feeding and changing litter but of course I love to play and give cuddles should your pet want to. I am also happy to turn lights on and off, open and close curtains, water plants, take out bins and bring in mail or parcels whilst you are away.

I will spend up to 30 minutes in your home though this may be shorter if your cat is not at home when I am there or is not interested in play or attention. 


I am good with nervous/anxious cats and am able to look after the grooming needs of long haired cats. I am comfortable giving tablet medications if crumbled up in food. I am also experienced in caring for indoor cats and can oversee supervised garden time if required.

I will travel up to 4 miles from HP13 5SW and HP15 7AA. I am also happy to obtain a DBS Criminal Records Check if required.

Additional services:

🔹 extended visit- great for indoor cats or kittens who need extra stimulation and attention: £4 for 30mins

🔹 cat walking- if your cat is leash trained I am confident to take him or her out for walks: price can be discussed.

🔹small animal care- £2 per visit for feeding, £5 per visit for feeding and cleaning out

🔹 shopping- have all the groceries you need ready for you when you return: £10 plus price of goods purchased.
