Battersea Cattery Volunteer for 5 Years.

Hi!

I am extremely passionate about animals and love working with (for) them and making them happy! (I’m very interested in positive/treat-based training techniques).

My cat can sit for treats, give her paw and she has many different sized boxes around the house with paper inside, that I throw treats in as part of her daily enrichment).

I have a 10 year old rescue cat called Shadow. She is my absolute everything and I use a cat sitter when I'm away and like to receive photographs, know that she's been played with, had strokes, been fed, clean water… so I am very particular about giving that same service.

I have volunteered at Battersea cattery in Windsor for 8 years and just love it. I have learned a lot about cat behaviour, medical issues & their needs from working there. I also have experience with different breeds of cats. (It is very hard to not bring them all home!). My sister works at a shelter in Spain which I visit and help out at.

I work as a personal trainer online but pet sitting gets me out of the house and I love being around animals and helping them and their humans.

I have a clean driving licence, therefore can take a cat to the vet if there was ever an emergency.

I have also done cat sitting through Pawshake in the past and am happy to give you my testimonials from those clients or a reference from Battersea cattery. I am DBS checked and have my certificate.

Thought I would mention that I am more than happy to visit a house that has other animals too, and happy to give you my social media links privately.

I like to think I’m good at reading cats body language and giving them the space and time they need to adjust to me, because of my training at the cattery and having to deal with very anxious and scared cats. I also, always end up singing to cats! 🙈 (the 2 favourites being, ‘you are my sunshine’ and ‘twinkle twinkle little star’).

I love to potter so I am happy to water plants inside and outside, bring post in or anything you might need while you’re away.

I like to see that my cat is ok when I have a sitter so I like to send photos to you of your cat while you’re away for peace of mind.
