About Me
Lifelong Cat Lady and Pet Sitter in Newport
Please Note I’m unable to take on new clients at this time. My profile remains open for bookings from existing clients.
I have always loved cats, since being a little girl. I grew up with two of my own at home and when I moved away from home for Uni, I volunteered at a local shelter. As soon as life permitted, I got a couple of kittens of my own and have helped rehome a couple of strays along the way too.
I work part time as an online tutor, so I have the majority of my day free to pursue my passions. I adore animals and my dream is to have a small homestead filled with lots of lovely rescued fur friends.
I’ve pet sat for friends, family and colleagues over the years and have recently branched out into professional cat sitting and dog walking. I feel deeply honoured when someone trusts me to take care of their beloved pets.
I also have 17 years of experience with reptiles (I’ve kept leopard geckos and a corn snake who recently passed) and fish, so please feel free to reach out if you have scaly pets who need care too.
I am available for daily or twice daily visits to your home to care for your cats, fish or reptiles.
I have it on good authority that I give epic scritches, and love a good kitty cuddle. One of my own cats was very timid and anxious when we adopted her, so I have experience with shy, nervous cats too as well as the super demanding and couldn’t care less personality types.
I’m happy to feed all types of food, make sure there is fresh water and clean bowls all around. I love to give treats as a form of play and get my cats running around chasing their high value prizes, and chasing a good old piece of string seems to always go down a treat.
Scooping litter trays is not a problem, neither is cleaning up any accidents that may happen (I have 2 long haired cats and a cat who is prone to over eating and vomiting, so I’m no stranger to cat puke and hairballs) and I am also comfortable administering medication.
Creating a bond with a cat is something quite special and I’d love to have the opportunity to get to know your little furry friends.
With fish, I am comfortable feeding flakes, pellets or frozen foods.
With reptiles I’m happy to feed live insects or frozen mice as necessary. If your reptile enjoys being handled and you’d like them to get extra exercise outside of their vivarium, I’m happy to discuss that too.
If you need anything else taking care of around the house like watering your plants or taking your bins out, I’m happy to help!
