Caring and Friendly Cat Lover

My name is Kat (what a coincidence 😸) and I stay in Pitlochry with my little black cat, Gilbert.

Having cared for many felines, I can confidently say that I have been a cat lover for all of my days. Some of my earliest memories are of Milo, the lovely, sleek, grey cat we had when I was just a baby. Then there was Dizzy, a beautiful tortoise-shell, who was named after her wobbly paws as a kitten - she went on to have 2 litters with us and my favourite times as a child were when the house was full of crazy kittens. Over the years, we expanded our family - being just my mum, brother and me in the house…we had more cats than humans. And nae regrets!

As a crazy cat family, we shared our home and lives with Milo, Dizzy, Irwin, Neville, Nelly and JJ. There was always a cuddle to be had in our house ❤️

Sadly, cats don’t live as long as most of us humans, and we have had to say goodbye to our furry friends. After some time of healing, I took the leap late last year, and found Gilbert (who we recently found out is in fact a she). Heshe has become my wee best pal! And has reminded me how good it feels to have a cat around again - I love all animals but there is truly something so special about cats 💛✨

I know how difficult it can be when life calls, and you have to get up and go. Whether it be a last minute romantic getaway, a writer’s solo retreat, your second-cousin’s wedding, or a week in Ibiza with the lads…I got ya

I’m more than happy to cover all areas of looking after your cat(s). I will be sure to feed them (in line with your guidance), make sure they always have fresh water and I’ll play with them - if they have a favourite toy, let me know :)

Chin scratches and cuddles are my specialty, so if they are keen, they will be getting spoiled with those. If they are an older kitty, or perhaps a timid or shy or the just-leave-me-alone type…I can take the hint. I will just spend time with them, and let them know I am there ❤️

I’m also comfortable with cleaning out litter trays etc. - I know if the roles were reversed they’d do the same for us :)

I also have some experience with caring for deaf and blind cats, and understand the extra care and patience this takes.

More than happy to send pictures and daily updates whilst you’re away - I know how important peace of mind is when you’re away from your cat.

I can also tend to plants etc. if required :)
