Cat sitter in Edinburgh

Hello fellow cat lovers! My name is Heather and I'm a biomedical science researcher at Edinburgh University. I love reading, wandering around art galleries, and booping noses at cat cafes! Cat noses of course, not human ones! I don't have any cats living with me at the moment, but I do have 2 hamsters Finn and Calla and a giant african land snail named Gary.

I have several years of experience looking after cats since I grew up with them. My first cat, Figaro, was our family cat and he was a rambunctious rogue known for hunting toes! A few years later I took in a stray cat, Tom, who was the sweetest most placid soul alive. He was a lap cat who loved couch cuddles and all the attention you could give him! I have also spent a lot of time cat-sitting for friends and family.

I would love to have a feline friend again, but unfortunately I don't have the finances at the moment. I joined Cat in a Flat to help others look after their kitties, and fill this cat-shaped hole, I need more toe beans in my life!

As well as caring for my own cats previously, I have lots of experience cat-sitting for friends and family. I have also spent time caring for a special needs cat, and I have experience in dosing food, applying ointments, and administering eye drops.

I'm a very patient and understanding cat-sitter. I respect that every-cat is different, with their own needs and personalities. I'm happy to accomodate each cat based on their unique care needs, be that lots of human-cat playtime, independent play, cosy couch snuggles, or a quiet nook away from everything. I believe every cat deserves unconditional love and care, their way! I would love it if you tell me what your cat's favourite toys/activities/treats are so I can ensure to include these. I aim to have 100% cat satisfaction here!

Needless to say, I will always follow owners' instructions with care and consideration, and I take this very seriously. I will of course accomodate any specific dietary requirements. I also ask that you leave vet details with me in case of an emergency.

I have a car, so I'm happy to catsit most areas in Edinburgh. I'm also very happy to meet before you decide to book to discuss your needs,get to know each other, and learn more about your cat. I can also send update pictures and videos so you know your kitty is being well looked after!
