Experienced foster-cat dad! Glasgow

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile!

I work full time as a housing support worker in the centre of Glasgow helping young adults secure and maintain their tenancies and have a naturally caring and compassionate disposition. I'm owned by two cats who are 15 and 14 years old, the younger of the pair was a failed foster that I fell too deeply in love with and refused to part with him, my older boy I've had since he was a tiny ball of fluff!

From 2018 - 2022 I volunteered as a fostering service for The Underheugh Ark in Inverclyde, opening my door to over 19 cats during this time. My role as foster-cat dad came very easily to me as I adore all animals and I think the hardest part was saying goodbye to them! All the cats I've had the pleasure of caring for have moved on to permanent, loving furrever homes and I still receive semi regular updates to this day - it's like my own extended family dotted all over the west of Scotland!!

I love nothing more than snuggling up and getting cosy with cats, and mutually enjoying each others company. Everything from playing, brushing, feeding and being on poop patrol is fine by me!

I like to have a meet and greet before starting a cat-sitting booking, it gives everyone (especially the VIP!) a chance to see how we all get along and ask any questions.

Having experience with so many different cats (and believe me, not one of them was like the last!) I have learned a lot of skills in patience, respect and appreciation for how diverse cats are. I know a myriad of comfortable and stress-free ways to administer pills and liquid medications and the importance of enriching an indoor kitties environment.

I happily will pet a cat for as long as they wish, but also respect cats enough to know when they want some alone time!

If I'm pet sitting I'm happy to water plants or other little things that may need regular attention while you are away.
