Need an
awesome
cat sitter?

About Me

Cat owners of Hampshire, you've found a sitter!

Are you going on holiday and need someone to care for your felines? You're in luck! I'm Ellie, I'm a primary teacher with two cats called Effie and Ezra, and a mad spaniel called Arlo, and would love to help you with your furry family members.

Why Choose Me as Your Cat Sitter?

About me: As a primary school teacher, I am patient, compassionate, and accustomed to being responsible for other peoples' family members! I have an enhanced DBS, and you can go away secure in the knowledge I will always be punctual, ensuring your cats' routines and schedules are maintained, and that as a police-checked professional, your property is always in safe hands.

Experience: I have raised my two 5 year old Maine Coon/British Shorthair cats from kittens, and have previously cared for my in-laws' elderly cats on many occasions. I understand the unique needs and quirks of our feline friends, so I will tailor my approach to suit their personalities, providing them with a comfortable and stress-free experience while you're away. My in-laws' late cat had medical needs and required daily medication (and was quite devious about sneakily spitting it out!) so I am more than happy to give medication also.

What You Can Expect:

Meet & Greet: I offer all new clients a free of charge meet and greet so they can introduce me to their cat/s and show me where the cat food is etc.

Food and Water: I will follow all feeding instructions to the letter, giving whatever diet is needed and ensuring fresh water is available at all times.

Litter Tray Maintenance: I will keep your cats' litter clean and tidy, ensuring a hygienic and pleasant environment for them, and will keep an eye on litter tray usage to detect any health issues and keep owners informed if necessary.

Fuss and Playtime: We all know our cats are all different. Some may instantly warm to whoever is filling the food bowl, and some may take multiple visits to emerge from under the furniture! I will gently encourage interactions with your cat at their own pace, and will happily provide cuddles, pets, or a play with a toy if your cat enjoys this.

Indoor/outdoor cats: My own cats are harness trained indoor cats, and I am very well-versed in stopping any unwanted escapes. That said, I've also cared for cats who have outdoor access, and will happily lock/unlock catflaps, stand at the backdoor calling your feline for dinner, or let them out/in for garden time.

Grooming: If your cats require and enjoy grooming, I'm more than happy to provide this.

Home security: I will happily take steps to keep your home secure while you are away, bringing in post, turning on lights, and setting alarms as necessary. I may bring my wife with me on certain visits (for my personal safety or if you have friendly cats - more lap space for cuddles!), but will never allow anyone to access your home without your express permission and knowledge.

Communication: If requested, I will keep you updated with messages and photos throughout my time caring for your pets. I personally love hearing what mine have been up to while I'm away, so am more than happy to provide this, and of course, will always alert the owner immediately to any emergencies.

Please be aware that, as I am a teacher, I am only able to do one visit per day during term times.

Ellie was great. She came over for a visit before the booking to see where everything was & ask questions. And she did everything we asked when looking after our cats, giving us daily updates along the way. We'd definitely use her again and recommend her to others.
