Cat loving law grad

Hi I'm Kate! I'm a recent Birkbeck law grad, road cyclist, and cat enthusiast.

I've had my rescue, Sophie for 8 years, and I love her to bits. But you can never get enough cat in your life! I'd love to pop in and help take care of your furry friend.

I've grown up around animals and gravitated towards cats more and more - though I've had reptiles and rescue greyhounds too! I've also recently started with a pigeon charity that help de-string and rescue wild pigeons in London on a weekly basis. My husband is always afraid he'll come home from work and I'll have half a zoo in the living room.

After dipping into the deep end with Sophie (who came with some behavioural issues/trauma) I'd say I'm pretty experienced with nervous and feisty cats. It took a long time for her to come around after what she'd been through, but she's a changed kitty. I'm extremely patient and happy to let the cat take their time (it took 4 years before Soph would let me pick her up)

My service includes popping in to feed, cuddles and photos; and of course I can water plants too while I'm there. I will consider overnight stays also when time permits. If you have any special instructions I'd be more than happy to follow them - everyone has their own routines (as do our cats)

I've previously worked at vaccine centres in hospitals for St John's and have an enhanced DBS.

I'll absolutely do my best to make your cat comfortable while you are away :)
