About Me
As good as mew
I've always been a cat lover, having begun when a stray followed me home aged 5 whilst learning to ride my bike all the way into adulthood.
Over the last 2-3 years I seem to have become my friend's go to person for cat-help, ranging from anything between popping in, to lengthier stays or taking their feline children to the vets. One of my friend's cats had a particularly complex medicine routine after an accident and so I can confidently say I've experience caring for poorly cats and those who are suffering mentally from being cooped up all day for their safety.
I also have an old Tom called Minstrel.
I work a job which thankfully is fairly flexible so can accommodate most requests. I have a 7 year old daughter who loves cats and may join me when looking after cats for longer periods.
I can easily cover requests in Twickenham, Isleworth or Brentford. Outside of these areas would depend what was required.
I've developed a bit of a routine with the cats I help with. As soon as I get in I make sure I know where they are and "check-in" by giving them plenty of stroking and a good under the chin scratch (my cat loves that). Then I attend to the immediate needs, food, water, litter tray etc.
For pop-ins I'd usually expect to be there for 15-20 mins to make sure the cat is happy, but when I can I usually stay longer to keep them company.
If you want your cat to be allowed out when I visit, then this is something I'm happy to discuss, however would usually only agree once I know the cat is comfortable with me, or if your cat is happy on a lead we can do the first few sessions using that.
If your cat has more intensive needs, e.g. is injured and thus needs someone to keep a close eye on them during the day, then this is something I can assist with with sufficient notice so that I can make other arrangements.
