Dr. Cattillo

My name is Martin, I am a PhD student in philosophy at Glasgow Uni and, I confess, I am a cat lover. My love for cat dates back almost 10 years, when, aftr a trip to Cuba with my family, returning to our home in Italy (I am from a small town in the north of Italy, lost somewhere in the central alps) we found a teeny tiny kitten feebly meowing at us from our doormat. After my father held a long speech against the idea of having any animals in the house, especially a cat (vicious beasts, according to him), we decided to keep it ---him, Camilo. Or, more precisely, Camilo Cienfuegos. Since our trip from Cuba, I had developed a keen interest in the history of the country, and especially the mythical narration of the revolution and its people ---Fidel, Che Guevara and his faithful comrade, Camilo Cienfuegos, with whom the two fought against the dictatorship. Since that day (the 30th of July 2012) Camilo has been my inseparable friend and second in command (there is no clarity yet as to who is second to who, but that's another story). Inseparable, until I moved to the UK. The past 5 years we've lived separatedly. But after all, we agreed that the revolution sometime requires friends to fight different battles in different countries for the same cause.

I am a very loving cat owner. I am happy to respect the cat's space (if they need some), or shower them with as much cuddles as they can get. I also love preparing special meals for them, and playing around the house.
