About Me

Your One-Stop Cat Whisperer! 🐾

Hello! I'm Jen - a self-confessed animal lover and cat-addict who firmly believes the world is a better place for having cats in it. I live and work part-time in East Bristol as a personal assistant to a deputy director, and I am also studying to become a music producer. It's fantastic that I can also spend some of my free time hanging out with moggies - the ultimate dream job! Cats love me because I speak Cat. It's a complex language involving various gestures (eg, the slooow blink which tells Tigger that all is calm) and building trust by allowing Tigs to 'invite' me into his territory upon first meeting. I've carefully honed my Cat Whisperer skills over a lifetime of growing up with and owning many cats. Although of course, we all know that actually, cats own you!

When I was about 10 years old, we put our beloved Simba in a cattery for the duration our 2 week family holiday. He apparently cried loudly for us from a metal cage the entire time. The staff didn't know what to do with him. When we got him back, Simba had completely lost his voice and clung to us like a baby. Though he lived to a ripe old 20 years, he never did get his miaow back. That was the first and final time we ever put him in a cattery.

That's why being able to provide this service for you is so close to my heart. Nothing can replace you in Tigger's eyes...but my generous chin scratches and food-provider qualities will definitely be highly appreciated in your absence!

I am trustworthy, empathetic and will fully respect your home and our arrangement. As a homeowner myself, I understand how crucial it is to entrust the security of your space to someone you can rely on. I am fully DBS checked and will be pleased to produce my valid DBS Certificate at your request.

I have a full clean driving licence so I am able to cover a broad area (please note my fee may be higher if you are further out). My current vehicle is not exempt from paying the central Bristol Clean Air Zone daily fee, so if you live in this area please allow for some reasonable practical negotiation (eg extra time for alternative transport method) when we first connect.

Having a vehicle means I am fully ready and able to take your cat to a vet 24/7 should the need arise.

I'm extremely flexible when it comes to working hours, and with both my work and studies being online, I can also offer stay-days and overnight services so your cat never has to be alone. Along with plenty of playtime, cuddles and soft reassuring words, I have lots of experience in administering various feline medications (and of course, the obligatory biscuits afterwards).

Nothing puts me off - as an ex-hotel manager, I've seen it all - I'll clean up any messes and litter boxes fuss-free. I won't flinch at squeaky/feathery 'gifts' left by the back door either.

You can absolutely relax - your cat will be in 100% safe and pampered hands with me. Please get in touch and I'll be happy to chat through your needs.

Jen was a great cat sitter, she was easy to chat to and looked after our cat really well. He's an old cat and has various pills and special food but this didn't faze her and I felt he was in good hands. We came home to a happy cat and a tidy house (not expected when you have litter trays!)
