Cat Whisperer

Hi, cat lovers! Dana here, I’m 23, and work in hospitality (front of house), also I’m currently studying for a degree in Art and Design at CSM.

I’ve loved cats my entire life, as I grew up alongside them, and, as my family was cat loving, we’ve had 5 cats over the course of my life, and I’ve also nurtured a lot of foster kittens. I love animals, but cats have always had a special place in my heart. I think they are very misunderstood creatures, because for a pet people usually want someone who will always be merry and available for cuddles, and cats aren’t always like that. But I’ve learned to understand if you respect a cat’s boundaries and tune into their rhythm they will become your best mates, capable of incredible loyalty and unforgettable affection. They will communicate gladly what they need and respond to your needs as well once you gain their trust. I keep learning a lot from those incredible creatures every day! I’m an excellent emotion reader (because of my ADHD), which explains why I’ve always been so great with animals. I have a very calm character, with a bit of a spice when it comes to play time😂

I have a lot of experience when it comes to taking care of cats, and I’m happy to do whatever is part of a kitty’s routine (feeding of course, changing water daily, playing, treats giving, litter cleaning, brushing both teeth and fur, giving medicine) I haven’t been taking care of disabled kitties, but happy to learn. In terms of medicine, I’m more than happy to do so, apart from injections, unless it’s absolutely necessary, as I haven’t done that a lot, and for stubborn kitties I have some tricks to ease the process of taking pills 💊 I also understand, that leaving your family member to a stranger is hard for both cat parents and a cat. Separation anxiety is real, and I am the victim of it as well, so lots of photo updates are essential for the parents, and lots of playtime and treats to ease the stress for a kitty too (as long as you approve the amount of the treats) I’ve also been training cats to do some tricks to make their routine more engaging, but it’s completely optional. Last but not least, as I just moved to be on my own, and at the moment cannot afford having a cat, I will greatly appreciate the opportunity to spend time with your family member, as I miss having a fur baby around a lot.
