Helen’s Caring Cat and Small Animal Sitting

Hi, my name is Helen and I am a big cat lover. I grew up with a house full of cats and now have two happy cats of my own. They’re both 3 years old and I’ve had them since they were kittens. I also have a tortoise and two crested geckos as part of my family.

Having worked as a dog walker and cat-sitter in the past, I’m very familiar with caring for animals, I am also qualified in Pet First Aid.

A bit more about me! I love to spend time with animals and in particular, cats! I feel I understand cats well and know how different cats have different personalities. I am aware that with most cats it’s best to wait for them to approach me when they feel comfortable.

As your cat-sitter I will feed and fuss over your cat(s), offer them playtime and attention and check they’re visibly healthy on my visits. I can clean and change their litter tray, give medication if necessary and groom them. On top of all that, if requested, I can help to make the property I’m visiting look lived in, especially if you’re away on holiday. I can open/close curtains, water plants and put rubbish out if needed.

Arranging visits for your cat rather than putting he/she in a cattery will make them feel safe and secure as they’re in their own environment and will hopefully cause them a lot less stress. I also quite understand if the cats I’m caring for are shy, they may stay hidden the entire time. If this is the case, I’ll use tell tale signs to check they are feeding and drinking well. I am happy to message or send photos to reassure you that your cat is in good hands and has enjoyed the visits you have requested.
