Friendly attentive Dulwich cat sitter

Hello,

My name is Chris. I'm pursuing a career in photography with a focus in wedding photography.

I used to have a small black cat called Sooty. She lived for 17 years and sadly passed away a couple of years ago.

Since I'm a freelancer I currently have spare time so I thought I'd jump at this opportunity as I love animals, particularly cats. I think they're affectionate, caring, have great personality and are funny!

As your sitter I'll make sure I understand what needs your cat has and make sure I know their personality.

My cat loved attention and cuddles but I have spent time with many cats I have been introduced to and I understand that they have different personalities and that building trust and comfort is important.

I would make sure their routines aren't disrupted and they are provided the same attention and care that their owners give them. Making sure you are happy with my service and are assured that your pet is looked after and has an enjoyable time is my goal as a pet care provider. I want to help other cat owners feel comfortable while away by looking after your cat well.

I'll make sure they have plenty of water and a clean litter tray. I'll let them out if they have no flap and make sure they are safe and comfortable when they are home. If they enjoy playing I’ll be sure to do that too. I also know how to and am comfortable administering medication.

I have been a pet sitter before on several occasions. Most recently in August I cat sat for 10 days through the rover app. The cat was very timid but over time we bonded and he came out of his shell and was very affectionate. In USA I looked after a friend's kitten in our home for several months over the summer holidays. Locally in Dulwich I dropped in at a family friend's place while they were away on holiday for a week. I have also house sat and cared for our neighbour's dogs for weeks at a time when they've been on holiday, so I know the importance of taking care of a family's place while they are away. I can water plants, open/close curtains, turn lights on/off, set the house alarm if need be and and let you know if a letter has arrived.

I will send regular updates on how everything is going, with photos and videos and make sure you are happy that they are well taken care of. If you like I can also take some professional photos for you!
