About Me

Hello, I'm Sofia and I live next to the Meadows at Lauriston. I have been in Edinburgh for almost a decade, and I grew up in Athens, next to my furry friends that I had next to me since I was born.

I am a freelance digital artist and educator, teaching Design MSc at the University of Edinburgh. I cat-sit in my free time because I adore those little furry buddies and I want to provide them with all the love and care. I have cared for kittens, cats and dogs with different personalities and temperaments, even when they had infections and various illnesses. As a result, I'm experienced in giving medication, and caring for and handling them even when they are all fussy and grumpy.

I will take the time to get to know and understand your cat and their needs while giving them all the attention they want. I can send daily updates with photos and also take care of your plants if you would like - I have an indoor jungle at home!

I love taking the time to understand each individual cat's idiocrasy and habits so I would love to meet in advance and discuss anything you might think important. For example, eating habits, favourite toys and play or how they prefer interacting with people. My visits usually last about 40 minutes to an hour, I refresh their water and food, clean their litter and play/cuddle with them for as long as they wish. In case your furbaby doesn't like playing and prefers chilling and personal space, I am always happy to just chill and read a book next to them for a while. With your permission, I will bombard you with daily photos/videos :) I promise to always leave your wee pal 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭!

Schedule update: Most days I am available for only one daily visit, I could do one long visit instead of two.

    Sofia is a dream catsitter! She is reliable, flexible, communication is easy, and she sends lots of updates. We have a big scardy-cat who hides from everyone and she managed to charm even him :)

    Sofia looked after our cat over Christmas and though he is normally quite a shy boy, Rambo loved her. She spent a lot of time playing with him, sent us loads of photos and detailed updates and we couldn’t have asked for more. 5 star cat sitting, would very much recommend!

    Sofia was brilliant - we recieved lots of photos and videos while we were away, and our cat was clearly very content when we came home. Sofia really took the time to learn about the cat's favourite toys and habits. I'd really recommend her!

    Sofia always responds quickly, is really helpful and was keen to make friends with my cat on the pre visit. She was very reliable, sent lovely updates and photos everyday. Returned home to a very relaxed cat, who had been well looked after and made a fuss of. Will be booking Sofia again and would recommend.

    Sofia was great. Friendly, kind and respectful.

    I received daily updates, photos, videos, and Tipps (my cat) had daily strokes and care/play time.

    My little cat was very happy and bright eyed on my return, so nice to see.
