Hello, my name is Kirsten and I'm a cat-aholic! I've been a cat owner my entire life - we had cat companions as a child as far back as I can remember. From the black and white moggie - Kizzy - who used to drag WHOLE wild rabbits to our back doorstep, to the beautiful Abyssinian - Cleo - who was afraid of her own shadow, I adored them all!

I am not ashamed to say I was late to school on several occasions due to stopping to fuss cats along my route!

As soon as my husband and me bought our first house, I insisted on also finding ourselves a cat. Merlin - a ginger and white torpedo of purrs and playfulness, is now eleven years old and still gives off kitten energy.

There is no better sound than that of a purring cat, happily snuggled on your chest or stomach, giving you cat kisses and attacking your feet if you dare to move them.

I could do without his bum-hole in my face, though!

I'll be honest - if your cat is a cuddler - we may have a problem in that I will find it difficult to drag myself away!

I pride myself on my ability to match your feline friend's energy. If they are aloof and disinterested, not a problem, I'm not going to force them to snuggle with me!

If they are a cuddly critter - fabulous! I'll make sure not to wear black clothes!

If they are playful/murderous - brilliant! I can dangle ribbons, throw paper and play chase with the best!

I'm unfazed by cat emissions (although sometimes I feel like my cat Merlin's litter tray should be equipped with a gas mask!) and will make sure your kitty's toilet is fresh and clean. Even though we ALL know that they love to poop in a freshly cleaned tray the very minute you've finished.
