Professional, experienced and reliable cat sitter in the Surrey Hills

Hello! I'm Emma. I live in central Dorking with my husband and two step kids. Most importantly though, I am humble servant to George, a very cheeky little British Blue.

I work from home now which seemed like the perfect time to pick up cat sitting again, having cared for many kitties for a cat rescue while I was living in the Middle East.

When I'm not working, hanging out with family or raiding the Dreamie jar for my impatient furry employer, I can usually be found writing, listening to podcasts or trying my hand at various crafts.

I've lived with or around cats for a big old chunk of my life, and have been a proud cat owner for the last 10 years. I would treat your pet the same as I would my own: with lots of affection and an observant eye for anything out of the ordinary. I've read all there is to read about cat behaviour and care over the years, so like to think I'm pretty 'on it' when it comes to looking after feline friends.

I can provide all the usual care bits and pieces - feeding, litter, grooming and of course, playtime! I am familiar with the majority of cat breeds and their quirks and have in the past successfully given medicines and supplements to my cats and others in my care.

They say that cats are just like humans in that they have their own personalities, and that's certainly been my experience! Over the years I've been firm friends with a range kitties, from scaredy cats who need a calm presence and a bit of reassurance to outgoing show cats... and everything in-between! Whatever end of the spectrum your pet is on, I'll adapt my approach to make sure they are comfortable and content whilst you're away.

We can agree how much communication you wish to have whilst you're away and will happily share text updates and photos from your furry family member(s) at a frequency that suits you.

Having been a customer of Cat in a Flat for a few years now, I know the immense value of enabling your precious kitties to stay home while you're away and also know what a good sitter looks like! This means that not only will your cat be given lots of love and attention, but your space will be left securely and as it was found, your post collected and even your plants watered or curtains drawn in the evening if you want to make sure your property looks 'lived in'.

Last but not least, I'm also experienced in caring for other pets having owned fancy rats, hamsters, birds, fish and guinea pigs in the past. I genuinely love all animals and am happy to help where I can with any additional pets that you may have.
