Your cat's in safe hands!

Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a librarian who just moved to Leeds a few months ago.

I'm an experienced cat owner (20+ years). On fact own sweet Ebony turns 20 this year! She lives with my mum in our family home, as I now live in a flat that would be unsuitable for cats, but I visit as much as I can, and 'cat-sit' often. Ebony's a bit on the shy side, but once she trusts you she's the sweetest cat in the world. She loves her belly rubs!

I'm new to this particular app, but I've pet-sit for both friends and strangers before. I've helped with feeding, cleaning litterboxes etc, administering medication and ensuring the animals feel happy and loved when their owners are away. I have experience with overnight stays, too.

I haven't signed up to this site for the money; I just want to be a helping hand for those in the area, and it's a great excuse to meet some new furry friends.

Additionally, I have extensive experience caring for rabbits, as I regularly pet-sit one for several years. I also have some experience looking after reptiles, birds, and fish too, since I used to work in a pet shop as a teenager.

My availability: • Mondays - usually flexible • Tuesdays - early morning/evening only • Wednesdays - early morning/evening only • Thursdays - early morning/evening only • Fridays - usually flexible • Weekends - usually flexible

I'm happy to do a meet & greet free of charge before agreeing to any services. I know it can be stressful to open up one's home to a stranger, and I want to provide whatever reassurance I can.

I'll make sure your cat is fed, happy, healthy and that they get their daily dose of cuddles if they're open to it (although if your cat's not comfortable around strangers, I'll be sure to respect their personal space. It's okay to be shy!).

I'll send plenty of updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away from home.

I'll always be respectful of your home as well as your pets. (I'm good with houseplants, though, so if you want me to give your flowers a water while I'm in there – just let me know!)
