About Me
Experienced Pet Sitter - I’m Well Trained for both Fur Baby Cuddles and Emergencies!
Hi!
My name is Hannah and I thank you for taking a look at my profile. I have over 10 years of experience pet sitting animals of all species; including exotic birds!
I’ve mainly done cat sitting and over the years I have befriended and fell in love with many a feline! The feeling was also mutual.
A bit about me: I work as a professional linguist and oversee the quality of translations of documents involved with clinical trials. I’ve also recently finished a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence.
Aside from my love of animals, I enjoy dancing and water sports such as scuba diving. I also love movie marathons when pet sitting so we can all relax together.
Cats get a bad rep for being aloof and perhaps “not as nice” as dogs. However, they come in all different shapes, sizes and personality types; and you have to atune yourself to each cat individually in order to bond with them. I do want to cuddle and I LOVE sitting for lap cats, however I’m aware that not all cats are cuddly and affectionate. Maybe they’re not affectionate at all and they’re their own man or woman, or maybe they’re affectionate just some of the time. I respect that, and give plenty of time for the pet to adjust to me. I’d like to think I’m well versed in cat whispering too, although a treat never goes amiss!
I treat every pet I care for like my own, and I like to spoil them every now and again with their favourite meal (cats: tuna, salmon etc). I only do this if the owner does not instruct against this due to a strict diet, illness, ongoing medical treatments etc. I want to create the feeling of them going to grandmas and being spoiled!
I adore black cats. I love all cats, but I have a specific weakness for affectionate black cats and they’re normally so silky and shiny and just generally stunning little fur babies!
I have a vehicle and my own method of transporting cats and other small pets in a car, if, god forbid, an emergency trip to the vet is needed. This has never happened but it’s always best to be prepared in case a serious medical issue does arise.
Please reach out if you have any questions. Thanks, H!
