Sophie's Happy Cats

Hi! My name is Sophie, I live and work in Kensington. I used to work remotely, which gave me the incredible chance to foster cats for a couple of years, as well as have my own. I work a full time job now so don't have the same availability, but I love to take care of cats where I can.

My first ever cat was named Billie and he changed my life. I adopted him from Cats Protection in 2020. He was an old boy! Approximately 17 years old. He had a hard few months after his owner died and he was abandoned in the house for two months. I wanted to give him the best ever twilight years possible. Cats Protection warned me he may only live a couple of months - but in the end I had him for 19 incredible months.

Since then I have been a fosterer for the RSPCA, taking on strays. Moses was very special - an end of life foster who had lived on the streets for years and was sadly terminally ill. He was only meant to live a few weeks, but in the end he was with me for just over 2 months!

My latest fosters were two very young sisters (12 & 18 months), born as strays. I socialised them so they could be adopted into house cat life, and it was wonderful to see them go off to a lovely family after a couple of months.

In Oct 2023, I adopted my own cat again. A rescue from Cats Protection named Freddie. He's a very chilled and affectionate boy, and the absolute joy of my life.

I have some time limitations around my work, but I'm available for visits to feed, play and take care of your cat in the mornings/evenings.

I know every cat is unique! So I can be respectful of space for cats who don't love a fuss/strangers. Or I can play and fuss over a kitty who needs more attention in that way.
