Hello! My name is Ying, and I’m currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in computational chemistry and materials science. While my professional life is about exploring complex systems, my greatest joy comes from caring for cats. I love their independence, playfulness, and the unique ways they show affection.

At home, I live with my 9-year-old cat A Miao, a sweet and spirited boy who weighs about 5.5 kg. He’s on a healthy raw + freeze-dried diet and has a personality that keeps me smiling every day—sometimes bossy, sometimes cuddly, but always full of love. Being his human has taught me how to tune in to a cat’s individual needs and respect their quirks.
