Furry tails

I am 63 and have always owned at least one cat all my life but had two for 20 years. I am enjoying retirement from the Civil Service since 2013 and since then have been not just been enjoying the freedom and home life but also travelling in the UK, Europe and USA, caring for friends pets (particularly cats) on a regular basis and it means so much.

Im proud to have plenty of positive feedback from the owners who’s pets I have cared for.. I love that cats are independent animals but also the unconditional love they give and in turn I make certain they are looked after to keep them happy in their environment whilst owners are absent.

I find that my life is just complete with a cat in it. I find caring for someone’s precious pet allows others a chance for a holiday and gives a peace of mind whilst they are away from home. I treat it as a true gift to be able to care for their adored pet in their absence. I regard myself as open, compassionate and sensible.

Although cats are independent creatures, I would ensure I pay attention to owners instructions. This especially applies to diet, routine, welfare, cleanliness and administrating medication. It goes without saying that there would be plenty of cuddles and playtime if that’s what they desired but also if the pet was not a fan of these then I would apply the necessary requirements for general care but not force the cat to do something it wasn’t happy with. I would also liaise with the owner and take pictures of their pet’s activities in the day if they requested it. For me it’s all about contented pets, their creature comforts tended to and happy owners.
