About Me
Loving cat-mum
Hi!
I'm so happy you're considering working with me :) Here's a little bit of info about me:
I'm 28, originally from Spain, but I've been living in the UK for 5 years now. I work part-time at a local bookshop, which gives me some flexibility to pet-sit whenever necessary.
Growing up, I was always around my grandparents' cats, and I loved to play with them. But it wasn't until 2021 that my partner and I finally adopted our first kitty and I learned what it truly means to take care of a cat. Her name is Luna, she's a black cat, and she's like a child to me (no, really), I go above and beyond to try to give her the best possible life.
In the same way, I'd try to do the best by your furry friend because I understand how important they are to us. So, feel free to leave me as many instructions as you think necessary, and I will follow them to the T.
As a dedicated cat-mum myself, I have a lot of experience taking care of a cat on a daily basis. I've done it all: poo and pee accidents, vomiting, diarrhoea... So I'd be more than capable to deal with whatever situation arises.
My cat is not super affectionate, but I love to pet and cuddle cats if given the opportunity, although I can also read the room and know when personal space is required. All cats are different.
One of my favourite things to do with cats is play with them. I think it's super necessary to keep cats' minds and bodies active, and I'd be delighted to play with your cat in their preferred way. From wand toys to chasing, I love to do it all, and I'd say I'm pretty good at it.
Fun fact: I clicker-trained my cat when she was a kitten, so I'd be more than happy to try to teach your cat a trick or two, if just for fun! Sadly, the only trick my cat remembers to do is "sit", but it makes for a fun party trick!
I am happy to administer oral or spot-on medication and clip nails, as long as full instructions are provided (and the cat is compliant).
My visits are always at least 30 minutes long, which gives me just enough time to do the bare minimum (feed the cat, play with them and clean their litter trays and food bowls). However, I will always aim to stay for 45 minutes to an hour to keep the cat company for a little if I can.
I'm also happy to water your plants, collect the mail and hoover up all those pesky cat hairs if needed!
Please consider booking at least a week before your trip so we have time to meet beforehand. You and me, and your cat and me.
