Head of social for a pet welfare charity by day and life long cat owner.

I'm Rosie and ever since before I was born my family have had pet cats. In fact, in the whole 36 years I've been on this planet we've never had less than 2 family cats. The most we ever lived with at one time was 7! I've lived with cats of all shapes, sizes, colours and ages. There was Ferdy the one-eyed blind cat, Tag who never meowed, Liffey the maine coon who still cuddled up on your chest even when he got too big and heavy...and many more.

Currently I live with Pumpkin, a 7-year-old Russian Blue who loves nothing more than curling up in a sunny patch and living a nice calm life. She'll get on my lap every evening for a cuddle and sleeps on my hip at nights. In contrast, we also have Ziggy, a 2-year-old rescue ginger and white kitty who can be the dumbest animal alive whilst also being the smartest. He always follows me around when he's not trying to get Pumpkin to play or tearing around the house.

Ziggy came from the Blue Cross which is where I work as their head of social media. They're a pet welfare charity which means I get to share my passion for giving animals a voice with my love for pets of all kinds!

I'm happy to look after all pets and have had experience of owning cats, rabbits, and rodents as well as looking after fish.

As well as ensuring your pet is well fed and hydrated, I'll play with them (if they feel comfortable in letting me do so), brush them if needed, be happy to administer any medications, and of course give them treats if allowed! There isn't a task too big or small that I'm afraid to do.

I understand not all cats (and pets) will want to make friends with me, and I'll be sure to respect their space and allow them to feel happy and comfortable with me in their own time. My priority will be to make sure they're feeling at ease and keeping well in your absence.
