I’m Ambar and I’m crazy about cats! I have taken care of cats in some capacity for the last 12+ years, and always say that a house is not a home unless there is a cat residing there

I am confident in administering medication, caring for animals with behavioural difficulties or nervous temperaments, keeping on top of and implementing daily training protocols, taking animals to routine vet and grooming appointments and looking after infant and senior animals who require extra attention. In addition to cats I am confident and experienced in looking after all domestic companion animals (rodents, birds, fish, reptiles as well as dogs, horses and other mammals both small and large). As I am someone who takes animal rights and welfare seriously I will not work with you if you use the animals in your care for breeding, as ‘livestock’ or for any commercial or profit-based purposes as this goes against my animal rights based ethics

I studied Philosophy at the University of Cambridge and specialised in Ethics (especially as it pertains to animals). I have been vegan for approximately 13 years. I have some background and knowledge of Animal Behavioural Studies and Zoology and I am currently looking to get qualified in Animal First Aid and Animal Reiki. In addition to companion animal care I have experience working with animal shelters, sanctuaries, rescue kennels, stables and wildlife centres

Cat breeds I have the most experience with are Persians, Siberians, Maine Coons, Ragdolls, DSHs and Russian Blues but I have worked with almost every breed and mix of cat! I have a particular soft spot for moggies and cats from rescue backgrounds. Throughout the years I have had about 12 cats of my own (almost all of which were rescues who were adopted from extreme and vulnerable circumstances)

The areas I cover most are North West London, I am based out of N6 (Highgate), NW6 (Kilburn) and W14 (West Kensington) but I will consider any sits or visits within zones 1-4 in London, and open to consider special sits outside of London, as well as well as foreign sits outside of the United Kingdom. I used to be based in E17 (Walthamstow), E8 (Dalston) and E5 (Stamford Hill and Clapton) so still service these postcodes and get many repeat bookings in Hackney and Waltham Forest Borough and the surrounding areas

• supervised outdoor time
• routine grooming
• lots of cuddles and socialisation
• snap pictures to send you as updates

PLUS if there is anything else needed in addition to this (i.e. watering houseplants, collecting post, caring for other small animals, and doing small house chores etc.) I will make sure that this is done, as per your request
