Hi, I’m Gemma and I’m a huge cat lover! I moved from London to Plymouth, where I previously worked in a large animal hospital (Blue Cross) as a Volunteer Coordinator. I gained lots of hands-on experience working with cats through fostering, veterinary environments, and training volunteer animal carers.

I’ve had six cats of my own over the years and have fostered many more. I currently share my home with two very loved catboys – one a failed foster from Refuge4Pets, and the other rescued as a kitten in Romania and brought over by the wonderful Final Stop Rescue 🥰.

Through my work and personal experience, I’m confident with cat care, behaviour, health needs, and administering medication (including injections), and I’m not bothered about dealing with any messes. Most of all I can’t resist cat cuddles and joining in with their playful antics whenever they’re happy to. I now work part time supporting victims of crime, but I really miss working with animals and would love to care for your cat in my spare time.

I love my own cats dearly, so I know how important it is that your cat is happy, healthy and well cared for while you are away. Alongside cat care, I’m happy to help with small household tasks while you’re away, such as watering plants, taking out bins, and opening or closing curtains and lights to help keep your home secure.

I’m based in the PL1 area of Plymouth, and happy to do local cat visits within walking distance. I’d love to make a new cat friend, so hope to hear from you if you need someone to take care of your precious cat!
